Last month I went to Bangladesh and Nepal for 2 weeks. While there I kept a journal of my travels. The Bangladesh portion of the journal starts here. I will post the Nepal section and hopefully pictures later.

April 10
This is what I've been up to, and what I'll be working in the next few weeks/months.

February 18
A quick update on what I've been up to.

January 8
It is the start of  new year and I am back in Europe after a relaxing two week vacation state-side. I got to spend time with family and friends and had a great time doing so.

I don't know what this year will bring, but I know it will be good whatever it may be. Thanks for your prayers and keep them coming.

December 15
Due to the recent violence against Christians in India I was asked (and I happily complied) to take down one of the videos I had on my YouTube page. I bring this up to ask you to pray for the Christians in India and everywhere else Christians are persecuted for their faith.

December 14
News about my thanksgiving and a little beyond.

There are a few videos up on my YouTube.

More updates, Yeah!!!

Also Video, Yeah!!!!

and Pictures, Yeah!!! (May load slowly)

October 8
Looking at the dates I realize that it has been nearly a month since I last updated this website. The reason for that is that there hasn't been a lot going on in Buesingen to report. I've been working on editing a couple testimonies that we shot in Ukraine, but haven't had a whole lot going on besides that. I'm kind of between projects and trips at the moment, but this might be the last lull I get the rest of the time I'm here, that is if everything works out. None of this may happen, but we've been talking about visiting India, The Netherlands and Scottland. I'll give you more details about those as they become finalized.

In the mean time I thought I'd post the transcript (or at least my best recollection based on notes I took) of a story one of the Ukrainian Missionaries told me while I was over there. This story gives some background information on the video I did for the World Missions DVD's about the alcohol and drug rehabilitation centers in Ukraine. It is about Combines. I would have loved to have told this story on the DVD, but I couldn't fit it into my 4 minute time limit. Enjoy.

These are pictures. (give it time to load)

September 12
I think I prefer smaller posts on the main page and longer ones on their own page. You can find the most recent one here. I apologize for a few things then tell some stories and ask for help. Enjoy.

Kiev and Beyond
I just checked and it has been almost a month since I updated this website. The reason for the silence was my recent trip to Ukraine. The full story is here.

Pictures are here.

videos here.

Sorry, I've Been Busy
I apologize for the lack of updates lately; the last couple weeks have been really busy. To start with; last week I was in Mainz, Germany working on a video about a church plant (the web site in English, I hope) in the area as well as a few videos for the Eurasia NYC (Nazarene Youth Conference). Mainz was really good; I got to hang out with some really cool folks and see those cool people doing cool stuff for God. Every night we had a church service with free food for anyone who came. During the day people either passed out bananas at the local college, picked up trash in the woods, sang on the street or nursing home, or pulled weeds out of a pond. At some point I'll put a video together about the church and the week I was there, but I've got a lot on my plate for the next month so it might be a while before you (or I) see anything.

This week has been filled with me (and the other folks in the communications center) editing the videos that we shot in Mainz. There are a total of four videos that talk about what the Kingdom of God is supposed to look like. The First was written by a girl in Berlin and is kind of a stream of conciouness thinking about the KOG. The second is three short annalogies. The kingdom of God is like a river, a train and a puzzle. As a side note I spend over three hours putting together the puzzle (a 3d globe) on camera. We sped up the video 100,000 times (time lapse style) so it looks like the 3 hours passed in 30 seconds.

The third video is two poems from kids in Lebanon and Nepal put to images of kids from a school in Lebanin. The last video showed the process of making bread, then showed the bread maker taking the bread outside and sharing it with someone else. Working out all the kinks took a while (I finnished burning a disk with all the projects on it at 10:30 on Saturday night) but they look good. I'll see about posting the videos after Kiev, but I have to get permission from my boss first. I've got to say I'm Not thrilled about working on the weekend, but I get the next few days off before I (we) go to Kiev and work for another 3 weeks straight. I'll update when I can, but I'm not anticipating having access to the internet while I'm in Kiev.

Sorry I don't have pictures this week, I was too busy with the video camera to take any stills.

Not just a Vacation
Saturday I had some free time and so decided to to take a walk down to Schaffhausen to see the sights. Schaffhausen is only a 4km (2miles or so) so I figured it was a good place to start exploring. I ended up visiting an old monastery (I'm told it's still in use) then walking up a steep hill to a castle that was last used when the French invaded sometime in the 1700's. I was stunned; I've gotten used to the fact that most of the buidings in the area have been around for a few centeries and not a few decades like in the states, but this made even the monestary anchient. I could go on but I'll let the pictures show you instead.(Be patient it takes a while to load at times.)

My life is not just wandering around the countryside (just the photographable parts). The rest of the week I spent working much like I would have at home, except you know, in Germany. August 1st is the beginning of the Nazarene Youth Conference in Kiev, Ukriane, an event where roughly 300 youth from the Eurasia region get together to worrship and learn about God. To that end I've we've been working on several (four or five) videos that talk about the kingdom of God; almost like modern day versions of the parables that Jesus told about the same topic. I hope to share these with you when I'm done with them, we'll see how things go.

Wednesday I'm traveling to Mainz, Germany to do some video work (partially on the NYC videos) so you can pray that traveling goes well as does the video work that I've got to do.

I'm here
My flight left LAX at 7:30pm on Tuesday and landed at 3:30pm on Wednesday. Since then I've been getting settled into my new apartment and getting oriented to the culture and new work environment. It has been weird being in the linguistic minority for a change, but my German is quickly returning. NYC for the region is at the beginning of August and so we're working pretty hard on getting ready for that.

Saturday I went with two people from the Regional offices here on a trip around Zurichzee and through the alps. It was absolutely beautiful. Even though it was the fifth of July there was snow in patches at the top of the pass. Naturally we felt like making a snowman. Pictures of the trip can be found here.
(Be patient it takes a while to load at times.)

There is an English speaking church on the campus of European Nazarene University (EuNC) so I attended service there this sunday. There were very few people there, but I imagine that will change once school starts again this fall. I took a much needed break for the rest of Sunday since I've been going full tilt since I got here.

Thanks for all your prayers. I'll keep you posted as much as possible.

I'm leaving
Thank you everybody who has been praying for me and for everybody that has donated to the cause. Because of your help and God's faithfulness I have raised enough money to fly to Switzerland (I'm still a few thousand short of the $11,000 goal, so your continued support is appreciated). So on Tuesday July 1st I will be flying from LAX to Zurich, and from there travel to Buesingen where I will spend the next year.

I'm very excited about everything that God is going to be doing to and through me, but am also a bit nervous about such a big move. I know God will continue to be faithful, but I would appreciate your prayers for peace of mind as I make the initial transition. More to come later..

Welcome to my website
Yes the rumors are true; I'm moving to Switzerland. Why would I do this? What will I be doing there? How can you help? All these questions and more can be answered by reading my support letter.

Once I am in Switzerland I will keep everyone up to date on my various projects here. In the mean time you can find more information about the area I'll be working in and how the church is involved by visiting the church's website here.
